In Lisbon, Ms. Hélène Farnaud-Defromont, the Ambassador, welcomed Ms. Sylvie Bermann, former Ambassador of France to the United Kingdom, Russia, and China, who was invited by Ms. Céline Abecassis Moedas to the 31st Estoril Political Forum, organized by the Catholic University (UCP).
During the session devoted to the role of the European Union in the world, chaired by the former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr António Monteiro, Ms Bermann took the floor. Ms. Sylvie Bermann, elevated to the rank of Ambassador of France, has held the presidency of the board of directors of the Institute for Advanced Studies in National Defense (IHEDN) since January 2020. She also works as a consultant for French television channels.
